Celebrate National Marriage Week: “Love Beyond Words”

Each February, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops invites us to reflect on and celebrate the vocation of marriage. This year, National Marriage Week USA takes place from February 7-14, culminating in World Marriage Day on February 11. It’s a time to honor the profound beauty and sacrificial love found in marriage—a bond that goes far beyond words and reflects the very love Christ has for His bride, the Church.

The theme, “Love Beyond Words,” reminds us of the selfless love that sustains a marriage. It’s the daily “yes” couples offer one another through acts of service, kindness, and forgiveness. This love is beautifully spoken, yet it finds its true meaning when words are transformed into consistent action. Since its inception in 2010, National Marriage Week USA has united individuals, organizations, and communities in a shared mission to strengthen marriages and build a culture that values and supports family life. The family is the “Domestic Church,” where God’s life is nurtured through everyday moments. Supporting families is essential to evangelization—strong marriages empower couples to fulfill the vital mission of raising their children as disciples of the Lord Jesus.
